Virginia Water Pavilion
The concept for the Virginia Water Pavilion was to create a building that would be distinctive and harmonised with its sensitive context. To reinforce the brand of the Royal Landscape, we proposed that the pavilion should have a strong thematic link to our previous intervention within the landscape, the Savill Building, creating an identity and integrated experience for visitors.
The building was to build upon the ideas and timber engineering of the Savill Building while developing this to a new level to create a highly innovative and original structure and, at the same time, handcrafted from locally sourced timber.
